Extranet Migration Project
Special Project Design Sample
Overview / Objective
Lead the North American transition from a legacy partner extranet to a new Microsoft SharePoint-based platform, migrating critical content and supporting a user community of approximately 1,200 partners and employees. The initiative required a coordinated migration strategy to maintain access to essential resources while preparing users for adoption of the new platform and its connected business tools.
Contribution / Execution
Served as regional administrator and primary point of contact, developing and coordinating a phased migration plan encompassing user registration, content migration, communications, training, and technical support. Transferred more than 1,000 assets; coordinated weekly user migrations with the global team; developed registration forms, guidance materials, presentations, resource pages, and awareness campaigns; trained publishers and editors; and provided hands-on troubleshooting and ongoing support throughout the transition.
Impact / Outcome
Successfully supported the regional transition to the new extranet while maintaining communication and resource access throughout the migration period. The project established a structured onboarding and support process for a large partner and employee user base, improved access to current content and connected business tools, and provided users with the training, documentation, and technical assistance needed to adopt the new platform.
