A little about me:
My name is Alvaro A. Zepeda and I am experienced in all aspects of modern-day print and multimedia design. I pride myself on possessing a keen eye for innovation, independence in production, and the ability to collaborate with a team. Since starting my career nearly a decade ago, I have used my expertise in digital design to help my employers expand and grow.
I began my career in graphic design in August of 2010, just after completing my Bachelor’s of Science in Digital Arts and Design from Full Sail University.
In my job as a graphic designer for the marketing and advertising firm OMG National, I worked within a cross-functional team on multiple projects with tight deadlines. I worked directly with clients—many who were small business owners—to plan, draft, and complete graphic and multimedia projects for established brands. I also designed a creative brief template for our sales team of 30 to use.
I developed my skills further as the graphic designer and marketing coordinator for Miami’s premier luxury senior living facility, The Palace. My role in The Palace gave me the experience and knowledge to create quality content, communicate with both clients and multiple teams, and deliver quick, creative, and striking digital content.
Over my eight years with The Palace, I applied my skills to modernize The Palace brand identity across its multiple locations throughout South Florida. By refining the design of each location’s logo, designing new logo treatments, and revitalizing all of their brochures with new designs, I improved the impact of visual communications in sales, operations, training, human resources, and pharmacy. Ultimately my work helped expand the brand into different applications and platforms by creating graphics for kiosks, social media, podcasts, tablets, smartphones, and digital signage. I was instrumental in the grand opening of two multi-million-dollar communities by creating marketing brochures, admission forms, sales collateral, financial viability reports, floor plans, and special construction requests.
In short, through the modern redesign of all their visuals, I helped guide The Palace brand into the present day and foster their growth and success. I was a driving force for multiple award-wining marketing campaigns and improved their online presence, special events, and was recognized as manager of the year.
Today, I live happily in Durham, North Carolina, where I devote my time, effort, and passion for design to help better both organizations and the public. Currently, I am volunteering my design skills to a cause near and dear to me: mental health awareness, community welfare and enrichment causes. I am very happy to give my time and talent to partner with non-profit organizations who need my skills.

My wife and I, love going on travel adventures and experiencing new things. Personally, I feel just as comfortable in a museum, a planetarium, or a botanical garden as I do in a brewery, an ax-throwing alley, or an arcade. I’m a pop culture geek and of course, a design geek. Feel free to call me Al!
